Alison has been involved in the internet, web-based marketing and sales for over ten years. She earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Music Performance from Mills College. It is this perfect blend of the artistic with the practical that makes her uniquely qualified for such a creative industry

Her first job out of college was a four-year stint with an internet marketing company that helped utilities market themselves online. She was hired into the Finance Department but was quickly moved to Sales when her obvious talents became apparent. She moved on to manage territories in Outside Sales for 18 companies involved in the construction industry. During that time, she also completed several web design and web application courses at UNLV and worked on her MBA.

As the mother of two young children, Alison decided to open a business that would allow her more time with her family. She opened her own business developing business directories – both online and on paper – and established close relationships with many of her customers.

Soon, many of them began to come to her for branding, web marketing advice, help with website design, internet assistance, and other marketing and advertising ideas. Over time, Alison cultivated her growing knowledge in this arena and decided to share her knowledge with others.

“I finally realized how much I could help other people with what I had gained from my own experience and study,” she says. “So rather than hire people to go to towns and cities all over the country, I decided to give them the tools they need to do it themselves.” Thus Corner Your Market was born.
